Week 6

Dear students,
Today you will read your group classification of an author's works essay in class. Your essay should contain three APA formatted in-text citation markers together with three matching APA references in your "Works Cited." You should write about 150 words per person.
Your teacher will check your essay after you have read it in class.
After you have finished, you should start your 20-point classification assignment essay. First, choose something to classify. Then draw a map or make an outline. Have your teacher check your map. Then start writing. Your essay should be between 400 and 500 words and contain at least three references.

Your portfolio should include your final paper (50 points) and two homework assignments (10 points each). For one assignment you should demonstrate your understanding of how to use another writer's words corrctly, to strengthen your argument and to avoid plagiarism (summary, paraphrase, direct quotation, indirect quotation).
